Engineering Beyond IPX7: Vacuum Immersion & Ultrasonic Sealing in High-Performance Adult Wellness Devices
Authored by YAQU Electro-Mechanical Division • Published: June 2026
Water damage remains the number-one driver of returns for electronic personal care devices. Standard silicone press-fit caps frequently deform over repeated usage, leading to bath water ingress and printed circuit board failure.
To solve this, YAQU employs a dual-barrier sealing architecture. The internal ABS skeleton is hermetically sealed via ultrasonic plastic welding, enclosing the PCB, motor, and lithium-ion battery. Over this core, medical liquid silicone rubber is molded under 150 tons of clamping pressure, creating a molecular bond.
Our production quality control bench subjects 100% of manufactured units to a -25 kPa negative pressure water immersion test for 30 minutes, exceeding standard IPX7 benchmarks.
